Prefabrication and Landscape
2017
This particular self-portrait presents the face of an artists which becomes a sinuous landscape. Or we could express it the other way around, in this landscape photo, we discover that the topography of this idyllic landscape is the authors own facial features. The traditional deep-rooted villa, conformed by a collection of factory pieces, finds itself in a fragile and seductive instability before an imminent shake is posed by the substrate on which the land is supported.
Similarly, this essay addresses a possible analysis for MINIMOD project through three key points: (1) from the notion of a primitive hut to an optimistic retreat, (2) from a tree trunk to digital wood, (3) eppur si muove, from house as a property to house as a piece of furniture.
