Seaside Retreat in La Juanita is a house conceived for spending the vacations and off-season occasional visits. An opportunity for thinking about living ways in these vast coastal scenarios, where collective spaces are the nucleators of social activities, of encounter and of light-hearted interchange.
Los espacios privados ofician de refugios para la vida más íntima, espacios del retiro, del amor, del descanso. Estas dos categorías se llevan a un límite valiéndose la una de la otra para separarse e intercalarse, provocando las sorpresivas espacialidades del habitar.
The house is defined through elementary spatial movements that when gathered generate a particular interiority; the master suite is elevated, permitting views of the horizon and provoking intermediary shadowy spaces; the separation between the ground floor suites allows creating a contained landscape patio. Prefabrication and rational assembly are essential constructive aspects of the project.
Towards the side boundaries of the plot, the house is self-enclosed to its immediate surroundings through its prefabricated concrete walls, while frontal and posterior sectors are open to the landscape in a more direct way, with the usage of visual filtering in the facades.
